So in church last week, the pastor said
when you are making a choice ( that you know is bad )
DON'T exaggerate the gains( such as, that is going to make my life perfect or that person is better than the one I have now or I have to have that)
DON'T minimalize the losses ( such as, it is not going to ruin my family or anything that happens will not be that bad, or people will get over it)
DON"T trade the future for the immediate ( in our instant gratification world, this is a big one)
It makes you think...
